Title: Staff Accountant - MEDC

Location: White Plains, New York

Salary: 55K to 65K a year

Hybrid position

Job Description:

Our client is looking for a Staff Accountant to be responsible for all accounting functions of the

Multiple Employer Defined Contribution Plan(“MEDC”), including maintaining MEDC daily cashbook, monthly journal entries, account reconciliations, financial statements preparation, variance analysis, investment fund reconciliations, and journal entry prep.

Responsibilities:

· Prepare monthly financial statements (MEDC variance analysis)

· Update client cash receipts into MEDC Cashbook

· Reconcile and resolve variances

· Reconciliations of general ledger (GL) accounts, bank, and investment funds

· Prepare and post journal entries

· Troubleshoot, communicate and resolve trading and GL account discrepancies

· Audit Assistance

· Timely deposits of checks

· Enter wire and ACH transfers into the banking system

· Prepare monthly and quarterly reporting

Requirements:

· 2-4 years of accounting experience

· Bachelor’s degree in Accounting

· Intermediate to advanced Excel Skills

· Experience preparing financial statements

· Experience with ERP software (Acumatica)

· Detail-oriented

· Strong analytical skills

· Strive for process improvements.

· Take ownership of job responsibilities and work independently

· Multi-tasking and time management skills

· Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $55,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
