Posting Details
- Prepare and publish peer review publications on health equity and structural racism.
- Design and perform statistical analysis, including selecting the appropriate analysis procedure, setting up data for analysis, judging validity and reliability of data, designing and writing programs to perform analyses, and producing written reports on the result of the analyses.
- Develop health workforce research study proposals to further your research.
- Assist faculty researchers with ongoing research studies.
- Respond to rapid requests for data analysis or other research requests from funder
- Present project results to internal and external parties, including professional meetings.
- Communicate with other departments, outside collaborators, and others to ensure success of project.
- Help with preparing technical publications and reports
- May be responsible for training graduate assistants or student employees.
- Prior research focus on health equity and structural racism:
- Significant expertise in quantitative methods for health services research, including study design, implementation, data collection, data analysis, and the write up of results;
- History of peer-reviewed publications;
- Ability to develop and test methods of research;
- Ability to work well both independently and in a team setting;
- A PhD or equivalent degree in health policy, public policy, or health administration
Additional preferred skills and experience:
- Prior workforce research experience and/or strong interest in workforce research
- Expertise in behavioral health (i.e., mental illness, substance use, etc.)
- Prior experience analyzing claims data or other large datasets
- Grant writing experience
- Experience supervising and/or mentoring students
