Position Summary:

The Inventory Manager is a key position within Global Supply Chain. This role has the responsibility and oversight of Inventory Control throughout the distribution and logistics functions. The role has responsibility for maintaining sustainable standard practices that support the strategic needs of the business. This position will be a key contributor to handle the tasks outlined below while bringing direct leadership and support to the daily related operations of the Distribution Center with consideration of strategic vision to assure balanced service, cost and capability and to ensure sustained high performance levels. This critical role will help drive and grow a culture of inventory accuracy.

The role works collaboratively with key business partners to ensure effective management, interacting with the Distribution Team, Customer Care, Sales, Planning, Purchasing, Finance, Engineering and Operations to identify and meet business requirements at a tactical level. The role also works closely with other global partners to ensure consistency in approach and execution.

You Will:

  • Serve as the interface to the DC team with key partners such as Customer Care, Planning, Quality and Operations for key functional communications.
  • Key Functional Communications include but are not limited to:
  • Customer Care contact when material allocation is required
  • Managing Smartsheet responses for Sales inquiries
  • Physical shortage reporting to Supply Chain / Ops for replenishment planning
  • Sterile release coordination with Quality
  • Inventory Isolation for Customer/Country/other
  • Ensure all key internal customers have access to accurate and timely inventory information through system accuracy and reporting
  • Direct leadership of all cycle count and /or Physical inventory requirements and reporting at the local level
  • Responsible for all inventory control KPI’s
  • Design and generate appropriate reporting to track inventory accuracy, shrink compliance, and variance root cause trend
  • Assist with the identification, development, and implementation of strategies, processes, and infrastructure to meet business needs
  • Prioritize and react timely to changes in strategy, business needs, or incidents assuring level leadership of all aspects
  • Partner with Operations, Supply Chain, IT, Master Data Team, Commercial and Finance functions to identify and implement process improvement initiatives, including automation opportunities
  • Partner with the Distribution Manager to assure all spaces have appropriate storage solutions, are well maintained and meet all OSHA regulations including but not limited to signage, PPE, and safe passage
  • Plan and maintain appropriate business continuity plans as identified or assigned
  • Collaborate with all areas of the business to develop strategies to continuously improve the customer experience
  • Complete root cause analysis for problem reconciliation and involve all stakeholders in process. Develop value-added approach to challenges employing analysis, innovation, and experience to the target. Perform modeling for more complex solution designs
  • Support merger and acquisition (M&A) integration at the local level and as required

You Have:

  • Bachelor’s degree Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Transportation, Business or Operations Management or equivalent experience is required
  • 5 years of hands-on warehouse experience in a combination of positions related to warehouse management, inventory management, supply chain including procurement, and operations; minimum 2 years in related leadership level positions
  • Proficient using and training Microsoft office suite, ERP, and other automation software and programs.
  • Healthcare, medical device or other manufacturing in a regulated environment experience preferred
  • Results driven, innovative, creative and action-oriented; able to align and energize teams behind common objectives in both a reporting and a non-reporting structure
  • Demonstrate critical thinking and decision making skills and have the ability to solve complex problems and think innovatively in creating results for the company
  • May require minimal travel

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $90,000.00 - $110,000.00 per year
