Summary: Treehouse Grove, managed by Ayres Vacation Rentals and located at Norton Creek, is hiring a General Maintenance & Housekeeping Inspector for their treehouse cabins, Norton Creek Resort, and other cabins. Norton Creek is a growing development located on the spur between Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge.

This person is hard-working and represents our core values while maintaining the appearance of each property across the development. This person will work hand-in-hand with Ayres Vacation Rentals (AVR) management in an effort to ensure the best possible experience for each guest. See below for a list of job responsibilities and requirements.

Responsibilities:

• Communicate regularly with the Turnover Manager regarding upcoming projects for Guest reservations and/or other needs

• Maintain AVR properties by using the light maintenance procedures prescribed by company standards

• Receive and complete work orders on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis

• Inspect all cabins and treehouses and seek out maintenance and housekeeping needs

• Respond in a timely fashion to all maintenance requests and turnovers

• Take partners and follow up on requests that cannot be handled individually

• Communicate with Property Manager and Turnover Manager when a third party needs to complete a work order

• Perform generic custodial duties in conjunction with the housekeeping staff

• Professionally clean and maintain AVR properties such as Treehouse Grove and other cabins

• Vacuum, sweep, mop, dust, and wash all surfaces, collecting and removing debris from property as needed

• Recommend to management if furnishings, linens, etc. need repair or replacement

• Maintain supply inventory, tracking, and reporting when additional supplies are needed

• Execute landscaping tasks such as mowing, trimming of trees and bushes, weed eating, maintaining all shrubs and trees, disposing of downed trees, using chipper to chip wood, and blow off debris from roads

• Seasonally, remove ice and snow from pathways, driving areas, and around the development

• Maintain firewood stacks, ensuring each guest has enough for the duration of their stay, replenishing when necessary

• Cut out, define, and open new hiking trails; patrolling all roads for fallen trees and limbs, removing as necessary

• Follow policies, procedures, and safety guidelines for the basic maintenance of tools and equipment

• Adhere to Ayres Vacation Rental's regularly updated COVID-19 response bulletin

• Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• High School diploma preferred
• Must be a minimum of 18 years old
• 1 years' experience in handyman, maintenance, or contractor work preferred

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

• Knowledge of tools, methods, and materials used in maintenance
• Proficient in use of commercial grass mowers, and weed eaters
• Must be able to drive large trucks with trailers and operate large equipment such as backhoes, 4-wheelers, pull behind blowers, Mini X, and others
• Proficient in use of snow blowers, chainsaws, and pressure washers
• Strong organization skills
• Must love working outdoors and ability to be on feet doing manual labor for extended periods of time
• Available and willing to workdays, evenings, weekends and holidays
• Ability to follow clear direction and communicate effectively
• Must be able to work successfully on a team
  

Physical Requirements: Must be able to bend, stoop, climb, twist, kneel, lift, push, and pull items weighing up to 50lbs. Must be able to stand and continuously move for up to 8 hours at a time. Must be willing to work in an outdoor environment for up to 8 hours at a time.
