BayCare is looking for their next Certified Medical Assistant to join our wonderful team in Dade City at the BayCare Behavioral Health Center! - Providing basic patient care assistance to the physicians
- Greeting patients and ensures efficient triaging
- Recording and documents vital signs, patient weight and basic medical history, prepares patient for physician examination, assists physician or APRN with procedures
- Providing instruction and basic education for various ancillary tests and procedures
- Performing EKG testing
- Maintaining general appearance, cleanliness and safety of all patient exam and waiting rooms, ensures that all exam rooms and patient care areas are stocked
- Assisting with various front office functions such as filing organizing patient medical records, insurance verification and authorizations, answers phone, monitors and maintains inventory and equipment
- Performing other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
Required Certifications and Licensures:
- CMA (Medical Assistant)
- Preferred Phlebotomy
Required Education:
- High School or Equivalent
Experience:
- Preferred: 1 year in Behavioral Health

- Written and verbal communication
- Administrative and clerical skills
- Organizational, Interpersonal, & Customer Service skills
- Time Management
- Medical terminology use and understanding
- Work with a team & work with minimal supervision
