Position Summary/Primary Purpose

The Load Master is responsible for ensuring accuracy and organization of customer event rental equipment assuring the right event inventory is uploaded on delivery trucks ready, in advance for on-time successful delivery to customer sites. This position also initiates a high degree of maintenance care, cleanliness and safety of Accel trucks, warehouse equipment, inventory and staff. This position will be training and directing activities and/or subordinates, as well as, oversee and assist warehouse and delivery personnel to ensure proper distribution and return of equipment promptly. The Load Master must have great communication skills when speaking with will-call customers and staff in a polite, friendly, and professional manner.

Essential Functions

1. Embody and lead teams in accordance with Accel’s Core Values, as described below.

2. Using our Accel Mobile App for added accuracy, load our customer’s orders onto our trucks at the warehouse for on-time delivery to our customer’s event location.

3. Communicate effectively with the warehouse crew to ensure proper inventory is pulled and set aside for each customer event and will-call.

4. Ensure Accel inventory is treated with the highest degree of care, organization, cleanliness and tidiness at the warehouse.

5. Assist in coordinating pickup and delivery schedules.

6. Ensure and assist the proper loading, securing equipment of event loads and verifying counts on delivery trucks are executed in with a high standard of professionalism, quality, timeliness and safety. Train warehouse staff on proper loading, unloading and procedures are being followed.

7. Ensure that Accel fleet vehicles are maintained and repaired so as to meet and exceed standards of use, cleanliness, safety and uphold Accel’s reputation in the market.

8. Assist in general warehouse cleanup, organization and maintenance of inventory for various purposes (moves, auctions, etc.) and report issues as they arise.

9. Maintain proactive and effective communication with customers, field staff and Onsite Production Manager, to ensure customer satisfaction for events and site management is met and exceeded at all times.

10. Must have thorough knowledge of equipment loading/unloading to reduce breakage and make unloading easier at the job site. Convey materials using equipment such as forklifts, hand trucks, dollies, and other mechanical warehouse equipment. Oversee the cleaning and servicing of vehicles and equipment

11. Coordinate with Warehouse Manager, Dispatch Manager, and Field Manager to get all deliveries and equipment ready in advance of loading dates.

12. Receive and open shipping containers. Restocks equipment according to company procedures. Inventory rental stock, restocks equipment according to company procedures and advise managers of low levels of product.

13. Assign warehouse personnel to priority tasks.

14. Report safety violations to the Operations Manager.

Other Functions and Responsibilities

· Deliver equipment when necessary.

· Accept will-call pickup and return of product by clients; place returns in appropriate areas for inspection.

· Assist customer with loading/unloading of equipment when necessary. May also need to demonstrate safety features and operational features of equipment.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00 - $24.00 per hour

Education:

• High school or equivalent (Preferred)

Experience:

• Load & unload warehouse: 5 years (Preferred)
• Customer service: 5 years (Preferred)
• Leadership: 5 years (Preferred)

License/Certification:

• Driver's License with satisfactory driving history/record (Preferred)
