Job Description:
KMA is looking for a Tax/Accounting Associate to work with our team. As an Associate, you will provide accounting and tax services to clients, with a primary focus on developing expertise which will quickly lead to managing client relationships, review engagements, and support and leverage to seniors and management.
Responsibilities:
- Participate in client assignments from beginning to end.
- Prepare accounting-related reports through a paperless office environment.
- Help clients organize their bookkeeping records to complete business tax returns.
- Gather relevant tax-related information from a client so that an accurate tax return can be prepared.
- Handle routine client tax and business questions from client.
- Work with the tax team to ensure the various components of the tax process are performed including tax planning, client interaction and tax preparations.
- Communicate with IRS and other tax authorities on behalf of clients.
- Gain and expand experience and knowledge in multiple industries through greater exposure to peers, internal experts, clients, regular self-study, and formal training opportunities.
- Maintain and comply with the highest degree of professional standards, client confidentiality and personal conduct.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree with a major in accounting or related discipline.
- Working to obtain CPA designation. Eligible to sit for CPA exam.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in public or private accounting environment.
- Proficient in computerized accounting systems and tax preparation software.
- Strong motivation to meet client deadlines and provide excellent service.
- Adhere to the firm's values and code of conduct.
- Excellent verbal and written communication with great interpersonal skills.
- Applicants must be authorized to work in the U.S.

Starting Salary Range: $66,000 to $78,000 depending on experience; bonused on billings/collections.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $66,000.00 - $78,000.00 per year
