Job description
The Opportunity
We're looking for ambitious, organized, and hardworking leaders to join our team. At Pita Chip, we value hospitality, cleanliness, transparency, teamwork, and accountability, and we want our teams to do the same.
Managers are captains of the ship. They are coaches of the team. Their job is to put team members in the best position to succeed to make sure the stores are operating smoothly. As a leader you will need to have strong interpersonal and organizational skills.
At Pita Chip, we love what we do, and we try and make every day as fulfilling as the last. Our restaurants need team members to make the magic happen every day. Everyone matters and we’re here to celebrate your growth.
We foster a culture built on six core values:
- Hospitality – We believe to our core that giving guests great experiences makes our jobs fulfilling and the world a slightly better place. Just remember – you’ll be part of the team that makes people smile and go “wow, this is AMAZING” when they take a bite of our food. Every interaction you have with a guest is a chance to create that experience for them.
- Cleanliness – We believe that keeping the stores clean is paramount to our reputation and the guests’ perception of our brand. Just think – if the areas the guest can see are dirty, how can they trust the operation in the back (where they can’t see) isn’t dirty as well.
- Transparency – We are open with each other (honest and calm discussion trumps passive aggressive destruction) and with ourselves (humility and self-awareness trumps hubris and judgment). We always encourage a culture of feedback to create new ideas. Pita Chip, as an organization, can only improve when its team is invested in making it a better workplace.
- Teamwork – We all succeed as one -- it’s as simple as that. No one is on an island either. We encourage our teams to speak up when help is needed.
- Accountability -- Whether this is your first job or 50th, we’re all responsible for our actions without defensiveness, drama or deflection. Each of us accepts accountability for the responsibilities of our positions. That means completing the tasks your assigned and reliably showing up to work. This value is last on our list, but if you can’t adhere to this value, none of the others will matter.
The Role:
In the role of Manager-in-Training (MIT) you will gain hands-on experience in a progressively defined program to evolve your supervisory experience, business acumen, and overall ability to independently lead a restaurant operation. Throughout your time as a MIT, you will be expected to learn and master the following competency-based leadership and operational skills including but not limited to: Putting Customers First, Adapting to Change, Fostering Collaboration, Achieving Results, Developing Yourself & Others.
What You’ll Do:

- Assist and learn how to execute administration duties including P&L, budgets, and cost controls regarding food, beverage and labor goals
