Schedule: Friday - Tuesday

Statement of Purpose: In the absence of the chef to function in his/her behalf. To supervise all kitchen staff relating to the daily production of food products. To prepare and serve food products as necessary

This position reports to the Executive Chef

Major Tasks, Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Represent the Executive Chef in his/her absence
  • Enforce campus policies
  • Inventory and ordering of raw and prepared food items
  • Assist with making the work schedule
  • Ensure proper preparation and food quality
  • Maintain and enforce safety and sanitation standards
  • Assist in the training of all kitchen employees
  • Assist in the food production as needed
  • Any duties assigned by the Executive Chef
  • Demonstrate the Sun Health Vibrant Living culture and provides all customers/audience with an excellent service experience by consistently demonstrating Sun Health behaviors (the 6 Cs) each and every day.

  • Knives
  • Slicer
  • Choppers
  • Ovens
  • Mixers
  • Blenders

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Knowledge of proper knife handling techniques.
  • Previous management experience in a kitchen setting.
  • Previous experience with ordering raw and processed food products.
  • Knowledge of maintaining budgetary guidelines.
  • Must be able to obtain a Maricopa County Food Handlers card.
