Pure Infusion Suites is an Ambulatory Infusion Center (AIC) specializing in the administration of IV therapy treatments for patients with auto-immune disorders. PURE provides an alternate site-of-care for patients currently receiving these infusion treatments in hospitals, cancer centers or at home. As an RN Hematology & Oncology Nurse at Pure Infusion Suites, you will support our doctors and patients through a variety of tasks related to patient care management, organization, and communication. The position requires you to be comfortable with infusion and working by yourself alongside office staff. You will specialize in the administration of IV therapy treatments including chemotherapy and immunotherapy.

Key Responsibilities*

  • Responsible for providing direct patient care administering chemotherapy, immunotherapy and other infusible or injectables as ordered, as well as appropriate patient education.
  • Start/Discontinue IV for infusion therapies
  • Establish PIV access
  • Access PIV & Ports
  • Medication preparation (Mixing) and Medication administration
  • Triage infusion patient inquiries
  • Knowledgeable and practices within the ONS guidelines during any adverse event while administering chemotherapy, i.e., extravasations, infiltrations or chemotherapy spill incidents.
  • Ability to travel to other location(s) on occasion
  • Participates in performance improvement activities for the enhancement of care delivery offering suggestions and assistance towards the continuous quality improvement of patient care.
  • Adheres to standards of safety and infection control, in the delivery of patient care
  • Demonstrates a thorough knowledge of and complies with all policies and procedures related to the performance of job duties

Required Knowledge and Skills

  • Minimum 1-2 years oncology nursing experience
  • Comprehensive Nursing Assessment of Oncology Patients
  • Excellent patient assessment and interpersonal skills
  • Demonstrates clear communication and effective collaboration to optimize patient care and clinic operations
  • Excellent customer service skills

  • Ability to collaborate with others and offer outstanding customer service

Education/Licensure/Technical Requirements.

  • RN Degree, BSN Preferred
  • Current nursing license for applicable state
  • BLS Certification required within 30 days of hire
  • Ability to meet U.S. employment and eligibility requirements
  • Chemotherapy/Immunotherapy Certificate
  • Oncology Certified Nurse Preferred

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $35.00 - $45.00 per hour
