About The Company: Trola is a Control System Integrator that has served the industrial market since 1970. The company has its own panel shop certified to manufacture and label control panels to UL508a, UL698a and UL1203 specifications. The company provides control system design-build and construction management services to a diverse market including Food, Confections, Chemical, Machine Tool, Materials Handling, Refrigeration, Burner Management and Electric Utility. Manufacturing projects may also include assebly and wiring large skid assemblies. Technical services and custom manufacturing of control panels are provided directly to end users & original equipment makers. The successful candidate will be part of a multi-person team requiring strong communication skills and a high level of professionalism.

Job Description: The position is involved with estimating material and labor requirements of custom automation control panels and technical services required on projects and applications that involve the integration of PLCs, HMI operator terminals, machine vision, motor variable speed drives, computer & device networks and instrumentation. Projects are estimated and then implemented on a state of the art ERP-cloud based. Besides estimating, general duties involve writing of proposal letters and change order requests, purchasing of components, managing shop personnel during panel assembly, wiring and testing, quality assurance management, making shipping arrangements, project management of change orders and issuing customer invoices. AutoCAD drafting skills would also be a plus. This position works closely with our Project Engineers and Sales Department in a team environment. Work hours are Monday thru Friday from 8 am to 5 PM.

Position Requirements:

• AS or BS in Engineering, technical schooling or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Familiar with Allen Bradley and/or Siemens PLCs, motor drives and general controls equipment. (Hardware only)
• Familiar with NEC and UL requirements for circuit design and panel arrangements.
• Experience in a job shop environment using safe work practices (OSHA).
• Strong personal computer experience using spreadsheets and word processing.
• Experience with AutoCAD is a plus.
• Strong writing & communications skills to be a good team player.

COVID-19 considerations:
We use an IR Thermometer to enter the building. Facility is cleaned every day. Employees are required to wear a mask and maintain 6 ft distancing. Some of this work can be done from home.

Experience:

• working in the industrial automation control system field: 3 years (Preferred)
