This position will lead the operational process improvement and infrastructure development efforts focused on the operational issues that arise with the transfer of financial risk from UHC to the provider entity. As these types of provider arrangements expand significantly, it is critical that the issue submission channels, as well as, the routing and resolution processes, operate effectively and efficiently This position will serve as the VBR operational lead to partner with the various internal business partners to develop the framework and process infrastructure to facilitate the optimal resolution of these issues.
This will improve the care provider experience by reducing issues provider are experiencing and the administrative burden that the provider risk issues place on both UHC and the delegated provider. This position will utilize their project management and analytical skills, as well as extensive knowledge of the business and the business processes to implement operational standards and excellence.
This position is full-time. Employees are required to work our normal business hours of 8:00am – 5:00pm. It may be necessary, given the business need, to work occasional overtime or weekends.

Primary Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with leaders and Team to coordinate the development and evolution of tools used to operationalize the transition to an analytical culture in VBR including but not limited to SharePoint, Tableau dashboard evolution, Scorecard and reporting
- Collaborate with the Team to develop and implement solutions that support operational goals within the Issue Resolution Team
- Partner with leaders and learning solutions team to develop and evolve a formal curriculum for roles within the Issue Resolution Team
- Partner with the VBR team to identify opportunities to develop and implement improvements related to how we capture various inputs for documentation and reporting such as root cause, issue type and closure codes.
- Build and maintain relationships with internal business partners to proactively remediate solutions identified through the VBR Team resulting in reduction of incoming issues to the VBR Team
- Recommend and develop standardized operations disciplines within the Issue Resolution Team that result in outcome focused analysis, support reduction of issues and increase efficiencies within the organization

Required Qualifications:
- High School Diploma / GED (or higher)
- 3+ years of leading operations initiatives
- 3+ years of experience developing and implementing business process change initiatives, including documentation
- 3+ years of experience with process improvement, workflow, benchmarking and/or evaluation of business processes
- 3+ years in communicating and presenting (verbal and written) complex operational information
- 3+ years of experience leading/driving meetings and conversations
- Experience with Microsoft Word (create and edit documents), Microsoft Excel (Pivot tables, formulas, VLOOKUP, reports)

Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree (or higher)
- Experience in the Health Care industry
- Knowledge of Value Based Contracting or Capitated Delegated Division of Financial Responsibility business models
- Green Belt or equivalent project management experience
