Rockland Trust is currently seeking an experienced Foreign Exchange Manager. This role will enhance the value of Foreign Exchange by leading the development and execution of the line of business as a key value proposition at Rockland Trust Company. This role will enable the organization to offer the full complement of Foreign Exchange products and services to active customers as well as prospects. The position will oversee and support the pricing, trading and administration of all foreign exchange transactions as well as championing the development and improvement of product and platform capabilities. The expectation is to drive revenue growth through the enhancement of operational efficiencies, effectively prospecting new business and collaborating with colleagues to educate customers/prospects on Foreign Exchange services.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following;

• Manage the development and execution of the Foreign Exchange line of business to include all sales, trading, operations, administration, risk management, and reporting activities.
• Develop and architect the staffing and position development plan for the Foreign Exchange business unit while promoting harmonious work relationships with employees and other departments.
• Work with customers/prospects to increase awareness of the Foreign Exchange product offerings; minimize transaction risk by serving in an advisory role.
• Drive revenue growth by building a consultative-based sales culture when partnering with Commercial Lenders, Treasury Management Officers and monitor opportunities within Salesforce
• Manage and optimize trading platform partner and correspondent bank relationships
• Demonstrate proficiency in FX products: spot, forwards, options, and cross-currency swaps evaluated for each specific currency situation
• Provide deep knowledge of FX in order to provide bank relationships with best practice methodologies of exposure identification, valuation and risk assessment.
• Manage proprietary trading risk and exposure in specific currency within strict gap limits.
• Collaborate with all areas of the bank that support the international products and services.

Skills and Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree required
• 10 plus years of Foreign Exchange sales and operations experience
• Prior management experience required
• Strong knowledge of FX products and services
• Strong understanding of Controls and Operational Risk
• Proficient in strategy design and execution
• Outstanding closing/sales and relationship management skills at all client levels
• Solutions oriented, with a strong sense of ownership and problem solving skills
• Strong organizational, reasoning and communications skills
• Self-motivated and independent with the ability to multi task and delegate when necessary
• Ability to balance a demanding work load and meet critical deadlines
• PC skills including Word, Excel and Power Point are a must
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships
