Omaha Conservatory of Music is seeking a Violin Artist-Faculty

Preferred Qualifications: Minimum Bachelor’s Degree in Music Performance or Music Education and 3 years of experience; a Bachelor’s Degree in Music Education with a current license is preferred; Master’s Degree and Suzuki Training through book 6 is highly desirable. Proficiency in viola is a plus.

Strong candidates will show an accomplished level of musicianship in their musical area, have a strong record of collaboratively working with teaching artists, and have working knowledge or training in the Suzuki Method.

Salary: $35,380 minimum commensurate with experience. Different rates are given for class teaching, accompanying, performance and specific programs. Duties:

• Provide weekly private lessons for students ages 3+

• Instruct group string classes in both in-school and after-school programs

• Attend faculty meeting and school events

• Instruct group classes and ensembles (if assigned)

• Maintain studio schedule and attendance records

• Communicate with studio families and staff
