Where the Chemistry Happens


The University Recruitment Program Manager (URPM) is responsible for managing several University Recruitment programs with oversight of 30-40 program participants (full-time and interns). In addition to oversight of program participants, you will have general manager responsibilities and provide leadership development opportunities. You will design, implement and continuously reevaluate the Professional Development Program and the Leadership Development Program to ensure that strategic objectives of the program support business needs. You will also design and employ an alumni retention strategy for ongoing engagement post program graduation. You will lead steering committees comprised of North America Leadership Team members in their respective program areas of expertise driving enterprise-wide changes through University Recruitment Programs.

As a University Recruitment Program Manager you create chemistry by…

  • Strategically secure and assess key high-potential talent for rotational programs, ensuring assignment leaders engagement and motivating high potential talent with highly productive and challenging cross functional projects and growth opportunities.

  • Generate new and innovative approaches based on business needs, feedback, market trends, innovative thinking and research.

  • In partnership with Leadership and Talent Development Team, ensure program graduates have the most advantageous stakeholder and business exposure, enhancing their growth and expansion of skillsets and to track program graduates’ nominations.

  • Organize forecasting/workforce analysis to adopt a balanced approach to demand and supply planning.

  • Optimize BASF brand presence onsite at targeted campus and recruiting events such as National Diversity Conferences, company presentations, career fairs and campus interviews.

  • Implement exceptional and impactful coaching and development activities for LDP/PDPs in preparation for program graduation.

  • Lead monthly program calls to reinforce and align assignment and leadership expectations.

  • Cultivate and retain high potential talent via enriching experiences and challenges through coaching, training, programs, frameworks, toolkits etc.

  • Build strong relationships and collaborate with key stakeholders, externally with our university partners, as well as internally across various management and executive levels.

  • Lead quarterly stakeholder meetings to review participant updates and other key program metrics.

  • Use a combination of quantitative and qualitative data to measure program effectiveness and communicate the impact of work being delivered to key stakeholders.

  • Leverage peer communities for individual skill development and industry best practices through highly engaged participation with national leaders such as NACE, Career X Roads, LDP Summit, etc.

  • Event planning organizing intern and full time onboarding 3 times a year.

Qualifications - BASF recognizes institutions of Higher Education which are accredited by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation or equivalent

Your formula for success...


  • Bachelor´s Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or other relevant experience.

  • Experience in Project Management particularly coordinating participation in recruiting events, company presentations, career fairs and campus interviews.

  • Experience working with quantitative and qualitative data to measure program effectiveness and communicate the impact of work being delivered to key stakeholders.

  • Experience in Talent Development, particularly related to early career talent.

  • Strong ability to coach, influence and build relationships with key high-potential talent, our university partners, and various internal management and executive levels.
