Located in Kendall, we are a meat processing company focused on manufacturing high quality products to serve our loyal customers. Our products are distributed to over 20 states in the US and exported all over the world. This position presents the opportunity to be a key member of our team and supply chain.

Job Description: Transportation and Logistics Manager is responsible for the planning, coordinating and execution of all company transportation needs. Ensuring that all inbound and outbound lanes are picked up and delivered in a timely fashion. We outsource all of our non South Florida business. Strong relationships with carriers, owner operators and experience with load boards is required. Negotiating all lanes, contracts, and the development of new transportation/carrier relations. Manager is also responsible for routing lanes, load calculations, all necessary appointments and corresponds with customers, carriers, drivers and freezers.

Responsobilites:

-Routing, coordinating and calculating loads and rates

-Ensuring on time successful pick up and deliveries of goods

-Understanding current market rates and negotiate the best rate for services.

-Serve as the point of contact for all inbound and outbound loads and LTL's.

-Bring new carriers and transportation partners to the table to build new relationships and broaden the base of high-quality service provider options

-Maintain communication with drivers and monitor performance to ensure timely pickups and deliveries

-Strong communication skills to apply to driver and broker agreements

-Ability to recommend and implement a corporate logistics strategy to improve efficiency and cost savings

-Responsible for the development and execution of initiatives to improve customer service, logistical effectiveness, and reducing allocation of resources to transportation planning.

-Coordinate with other departments to further develop a productive supply chain. Implement advancements in technological logistical capabilities

Qualifications:

-Knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook

-3 years or more related experience

-Bilingual (English/Spanish) required

-Excellent planning and organizational skills -Strong negotiating Skills

-Strong analytical and communication skills -Ability to adapt and problem solve -Attention to details.

Pay: $65,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
