Our client located north of Brattleboro, VT is looking for a Staff Accountant to join their team. This is a direct hire opportunity offering a starting salary of $45K to $52K depending on experience and will have you working a Monday – Friday 8am-5pm schedule.
You will also be eligible for their company benefits package including Medical/Dental/Vision/Disability insurance, HSA, 403(b) retirement plan as well as paid time off.
Your responsibilities as the Staff Accountant:
- Process invoices and disburse checks
- Bank account reconciliation
- General Ledger entries
- Account analysis
- General bookkeeping and clerical duties
- Complete other duties as assigned
Skills/qualifications for the Staff Accountant position:
- Associates degree in Accounting
- 2+ years recent accounting experience
- Advanced computer skills – Microsoft Office including Excel
- Experience with Great Plains or other accounting software is preferred
- Solid understanding of GAAP
- Strong analytical and organizational skills
- Professional verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to multitask
- Good time management and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to work effectively and independently in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to maintain confidential information
