We are looking for a Restaurant Manager to lead the growth of our restaurant group. Part time and full-time leadership positions available at our new restaurant concept 19Ten coming to Railroad Square in Santa Rosa.
You will present a high-quality menu to our guests and motivate our team to foster elite level guest relationships. Restaurant manager responsibilities include supporting the restaurant’s revenue, profitability and quality goals. You will ensure efficient restaurant operation, as well as support high production, productivity, food and beverage quality, health and safety protocols and guest service standards. Compensation packages will be based on availability (part time or full-time) and experience.
To be successful in this role, you must have experience in the restaurant/hospitality industry - management experience preferred but not necessarily required. We strive to empower our team in a collaborative work environment and are willing to train and develop operation skills with candidates that show a strong understanding of the industry, and who are self-motivated with a desire to learn and grow their knowledge base and skillset. Communication skills are a must in as you will be expected to be in tune with BOH operations, be able to motivate, uplift, empower, and educate the team.

You will be expected to oversee the dining room, foster strong relationships with guests, and balance seating capacity. We’ll expect you to lead by example and uplift our staff during busy moments in our fast-paced environment. Ultimately, you will ensure our restaurant runs smoothly as we strive to continue to provide guests with elite level dining experiences.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate daily Front of the House and Back of the House restaurant operations
  • Deliver superior service and maximize guest experiences
  • Respond efficiently and accurately to guest's needs
  • Regularly review product quality and research new vendors
  • Schedule, organize, and supervise shifts
  • Appraise staff performance and empower team members to be their best selves.
  • Estimate future needs for small wares, supplies, food, and beverage as needed
  • Ensure compliance with sanitation and safety regulations
  • Manage the image and reputation of our restaurant group; including offering feedback on how to creatively improve our presence in the market through marketing budgets, word-of-mouth and restaurant events.
  • Control operational costs and find measures to cut waste
  • Read and evaluate detailed reports on weekly, monthly and annual revenues and expenses
  • Train and educate new and current team members on proper guest service, food, and beverage.
  • Implement policies and protocols that will maintain future restaurant operations

Skills

  • Work experience as a Restaurant Manager, Restaurant General Manager, Hospitality Manager or similar role is preferred. Extensive experience in the industry in multiple capacities required.
  • Proven elite level guest service experience
  • Extensive food and beverage knowledge a plus. Must have an ability to remember and recall ingredients and dishes to inform customers and wait staff
  • Familiarity with restaurant management software, like OpenTable and Clover POS.
  • Strong leadership, motivational and people skills
  • Acute financial management skills
