ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Proficient at assessment and analysis of student learning data with the ability to diagnose and address reading deficits
- Knowledge of differentiated instruction to provide intervention in the General Education classroom
- Able to collaborate with general classroom teachers, families and students
- Able and willing to plan, teach and evaluate instruction in both reading and writing
- Design intervention tailored to student needs
- Willing to participate in Reading Recovery training as needed
QUALIFICATIONS:
- MA Elementary License
- Reading License preferred
- Elementary reading experience and knowledge preferred
- Training and knowledge of the Literacy Collaborative Instructional Framework, Benchmark Assessment System and Leveled Literacy Intervention System a plus
- Citizenship, residency or work visa required
