Milk River is a family-owned American-based company. Milk River was founded in 2015 and has since expanded 3 fold. We are expanding into the Wichita Falls area. Milk River is looking to expand our team of mechanics and help grow the business in the area!

We have a very unique market as most of our work will be on pre-Emissions semis.

Diesel Mechanic Duties and Responsibilities

• Must have extensive knowledge of CAT, Cummins and Detroit engines
• Overhaul & Overhead experience REQUIRED
• Diagnose and repair issues with hydraulics, brakes, transmission, steering, and other systems
• Interprets diagnostic test results accurately
• Inspects and repairs vehicles with diesel engines
• Handles routine repairs, including oil and tire changes
• Writes detailed inspection reports and repair plans
• Collaborates with other diesel mechanics
• Completes test drives to make sure the vehicle runs correctly
• Uses power, machine, and hand tools safely
• Follows all motor vehicle repair shop regulations and standards
• Perform preventative maintenance
• Perform welding or fabrication tasks on trailers and other equipment as necessary
• Maintain a clean and safe workplace

Diesel Mechanic Requirements and Qualifications

• Mechanical skills REQUIRED (DEISEL SPEICFIC)
• High school diploma or GED certificate (preferred)
• Valid driver's license (CDL strongly preferred)
• Diesel technician or mechanic degree a plus
• Experience with small diesel engine repair
• Some welding experience required
• Basic computer skills
• Basic math skills

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00 - $35.00 per hour
