HOERBIGER Corporation of America (HCA) is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to champion Lean events in our manufacturing plant in Pompano Beach, FL. HCA is an industry-leading manufacturer of high-tech, reciprocating compressor valves and components used across the energy industry. HCA operates with 100 CNC machines (mills, lathes, grinders) and 20+ robots.

We are looking for a passionate Lean champion who is an excellent coach and trainer to work with the team on the shop floor. This person will be instrumental in building our Lean culture and leading kaizen events throughout the year. Relocation Benefits are included for this position.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Find potential for Continuous Improvement opportunities by analyzing production patterns and technical requirements
• Plan and execute LEAN events
• Manage projects and track projects
• Conduct LEAN training, create Work instructions

Qualifications

• Must be a Certified Lean Six Sigma Green Belt
• 2 or 4-year degree in mechanical, industrial engineering or business, alternative equivalent experience or combination of education and experience are accepted
• 2-years’ experience teaching and coaching LEAN techniques like 5S, KAIZEN, Value Stream Mapping
• 4-years’ experience in working in a factory environment
• Demonstrated experience in holding LEAN events, value stream analysis
• AutoCAD 2D drafting for floor layouts
• 3D drafting experience (is a bonus)
• Able to use mechanical gauges to take measurement (indicators, micrometers, calibers)
• Able to understand geometrical tolerances GDT and check parts against it
• Experieince creating presentations in software and physical media
• Experience managing teams, as well as managing projects
• Math skills to process measurement data; able to convert from metric to imperial and reverse
• Strong computer skills including minimum Intermediate level Microsoft Excel; experience with SAP helpful.
