Job description

The New Orleans Academy of Fine Arts is seeking a Landscape Painter to teach several Plein Air classes on and off the Academy's campus in New Orleans.

Responsibilities for the position are as follows -

- The Applicant should have a strong foundation in realism and several different painting media with a strong understanding of oil.

- Develop a curriculum and teach classes for Academy students.

- Develop strong relationships with the students and community.

- Always maintain professionalism.

- Working collaboratively with other staff.

The ideal candidate will hold a Bachelor of Fine Arts and have some experience teaching in art centers to adult students. An MFA is preferred, but not required. Qualified applicants may be required to teach a sample lesson on campus and provide samples of their work through a portfolio presentation. All faculty report to the executive director.
