POSITION: Behavioral Technician Level 4

• Mon- Wed & e/o wknd 8a-4p - 2 opening
• Thur, Fri & e/o wknd 8a-4p - 2 openings
• Thur, Fri & e/o wknd 4p-10p - 2 openings

LOCATION: Apple Valley, MN

DESCRIPTION: This is an experienced direct care position offering specialized services to individuals with mental illness and/or challenging behaviors. The staff in these homes are experts in utilizing strength-based strategies to promote and reinforce healthy behaviors.

Job duties:

• Consistently adhere to the principals of Positive Behavior Supports.
• Provide crisis prevention/intervention services to the people served.
• Monitor the individual(s) supported for symptoms of decline, crisis, medication side effects, and to intervene when necessary.
• Incorporate the CSSP and CSSP Addendum into daily interaction with the people served.
• Assist the people supported with problem solving different aspects of community living.
• Maintain complete and professional documentation.
• Participate in scheduled and spontaneous recreational events, medical appointments, family events, psychiatric appointments, and other activities of the person’s choice.
• Maintain confidentiality by complying with HIPAA and MN Data Privacy.
• Serve as a reliable and professional member of the support team.
• Attend mandatory meetings.
• Maintain clear, open, and honest communication with program management.
• Other duties as assigned.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION:

Applicants must be able to pass a Department of Human Services background check and provide TWO professional references.

Tier 4: ​

· No degree- min. 7 years’ experience ​with positive behavioral supports or,

· Associates- min. 5 years’ experience with positive behavioral supports ​or,

· BA- min. 3 years’ experience ​ with positive behavioral supports

*$500 after 90 days, additional $1000 after 6 months, & additional $1000 after 1 year

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $22.00 per hour

License/Certification:

• CPR Certification (Preferred)
